In "O Toronto", published in 1973, William Kurelek presents a group of paintings depicting his views of the city. Included is "Don Valley on a Grey Day", 1972. In his commentary on this piece, he asks the reader if they can find the hidden crucifix in the painting. As it turns out, the crucifix does not seem to appear when the entire painting is photographed (although I imagine it would be possible with some of the high-megapixel cameras around today).
