St Kateri Tekakwitha (1656-1680)

This latest addition to the new series took much longer to complete than I was anticipating. This is mainly because of the time it took to finally settle on a design.

Many artists have depicted St Kateri Tekakwitha through painting and sculpture, and I referred to many of them for inspiration. However, I most often found myself referring to the painting by one of her spiritual directors, Fr. Claude Chauchetière which is the only known portrait of her from life.
